Prayer Items

NATIONS

1.  Pray for peace in the world. May God have mercy on the children and people in places where there is war, fighting and killing.

2. Praise God that 20 children were sponsored as a result of Compassion Sunday. May God bless the givers.

3. Pray for Jenny and Michael Holberg, our missionaries at A & M. Pray that God will strengthen Jenny to reach out to African-American students. Pray for Mike as he visits Thailand for Tsunami relief this month. Pray for their planning for the fall and that they are granted more love and patience in their ministry.

CHURCH

4. Praise God for last week's services. May God teach us how to raise our children. May God be Lord of our lives at home and in church.

5. Pray for service preparation for 5/22. Pastor Hsueh will be preaching. Derek and Jackie Meeks will share testimony in the English service and Elaine Kuo will share her testimony in the Chinese service.

6. Pray for the English candidate Douglas Lew as he makes plans to visit in the second weekend of June. May God guide us and reveal His will to us.

7. Pray for summer intern Huay Ming Loh. May God grant her wisdom in preparing different ministries with children and adults. May God provide needed co-workers.

8. Pray for the Chinese membership class. May everyone who attends have a clear understanding of their privileges and responsibility of being a member of Houston Chinese Church . May they be willing to commit to support the church.

9. Pray that God will provide co-workers for the mission department so our missionaries and seminarians could be cared for. Pray that someone will be available updating the bulletin board and the publication of the mission handbook.

10. Pray for the baptismal candidates on 5/22: Shiqiang Tian, Lingzhi Han, LiXin Xhuang and Sang Mei.

11. Pray for the summer short term missions trip preparation. May God be greatly glorified and proclaimed wherever we go.

INDIVIDUALS

          12. Pray for Pastor and Mrs. Tow as they pack up and make preparation to return to  

          Houston . May God protect them as they will be driving back on May 21 and 22.

13.  Pray for Xu Fan and his family. His wife Liu Hua and child are visiting her mother who has intestine cancer in China . Pray for healing for her mother.

14.  Pray for Yuan Cuidi's family. May God provide a job for her and may God use her to reach out to her household.

15.  Pray for Ye Zhang and Shih Hsin Kao. May God grant them strength and wisdom to raise their daughter Esther.

16.  Pray for Geoff Chang as her prepares to begin seminary in June. May God provide for his needs and guide him as begins his study.

17.  May God bless Pastor and Mrs. Xu as they will remain in China . May God grant healing to Mrs. Xu. May God provide us another shepherd to His flock.

18. Pray for the expectant mothers: Selina Lai, Grace Fong, Feng Sun and Vicky    Lim.

19.  Pray for the graduates: Huay Ming Loh, Nathan Huynh, Edna Kwan, Louisa Liu, Elisa Chen, Emmy Woo, Alan Bennett, Tiffany Lin, Kristin Hartono, David Chee, Stephanie Hsie, Benedict Lee, Jennifer Yen, Ingrid Song, Feng Sun, Hongbin Cui, Helen Ling, Janine Yieh, Millie Wong, Charlene Jackson, Teresa Pettyjohn, Pei-Ling Chang, Joyce Lin, Tiffany Lin, Jacob Huang, David Cheong, Jonathan Earl, Xinchen Wang, Chalres Lintakoon, Brian Tow, Justin Yuen, Aaron Chan, Liang Chen , Ryan Quock , Angela Ban, Ching Leung Chan and Tracy Yiyun Tang.

20.  Pray for the job seekers Shih-Hsin Kao, Donghui Li, Hairong Qu, Pengxin Fan. May God sustain them as give them strength as he wait. Pray for their support group.

21.  Pray for Sheila Chan. Her mother passed away in Hong Kong . May God comfort her and guide the funeral arrangement. May God take care of her husband Chung Keung and son Jarson.

22.  Pray for the sick: Ann Lam, Luella Hwang, Adam Chen, Dena Chong, Cheong Wai Lok, Hushan Yang, Stella Law, James Chen, Dennis Huang and Shirley Huang.
