9/14-20, 2005

WORLD

1.   Praise the Lord for being our Most High God, sovereign over all creation and all nations.

2.   Sudan : Pray for the rebuilding of churches in Sudan where thousands of churches were destroyed and  pastors persecuted and killed. Pray that peace will prevail, the church will grow, and the Gospel will spread across Sudan . Pray that God will provide the resources to rebuild a church and train a pastor in each village that needs one.

3.    Pray for missionaries Jerry and Kit Ling Swenson as they reach out in their mission field. Remember Jerry's     language studies and the health of Kit Ling's mother.

CHURCH

4.    Praise God for the weekend ministry. May God help us to rely on Him and experience His promises everyday. May His power flow through us. Pray for Pastor Tow and Minister Mou in their preparation to speak this Sunday. Pray that they will be touched and guided by the Holy Spirit to preach God's word.

5.    Praise God for the hurricane relief effort. Praise God for the love offerings and items donated. May He continue to guide us in caring for those in need.

6.    Praise God for answering our prayers as He protected the New Heart Ministry team on their mission trip and has used them to witness and to harvest.

7.    We confess our sins, for the times when we lacked compassion toward God's people. We pray that our Lord forgive our lack of trust in Him when we choose to worry and do things our own way.

8.   Pray for Pastor Douglas Lew and his family as they settle down in Houston . May God bless their transition in his ministry and daily lives.

9.   Pray that God's comfort and provision be granted to the displaced families and that they experience God's love through His people.

10. Give thanks to God for His provision and blessing to us everyday. Pray that we have the heart of contentment.

11. Pray for the preparation of the pictorial directory. May God bless all the participants and may the portrait taking go smoothly.

12. Praise God that the graded children's , youth and handbell choirs had a smooth start. May God help us continue to grow through this ministry.

13. Pray for the Senior Retreat this weekend. May God bless the seniors as they gather to have fellowship and spiritual renewal. Pray for the Renewal Fellowship and their retreat. May God use the speakers to touch lives.

14. Pray for the preparation of our 30 th Anniversary celebration on 11/6 and our special Christmas celebration on 12/9, 12/24 and 25. Pray for unity of heart and spirit.

15. Pray for the Christmas choir as it begins practice this Sunday. May God provide the needed singers.

INDIVIDUALS

16.Praise the Lord for being our Wonderful Counselor, the healer of all wounds.

17.Pray that the Lord wash away our iniquity and cleanse us from our sins for His name's sake.

18. Pray for Elder Jarvis Chan and his family in the loss of his mother. May God's love and mercy bring them comfort and peace.

19.Pray for God's protection for Yanyang Xiao, Ke He and other brothers and sisters who are traveling.

20. Pray for Donghui Li, Yuqiao Gu and those who are searching for employment. May God's provision be granted to them.

21. We thank the Lord for the marvelous gift of new life. We thank the Lord for the baby girl Faith born to Ed and Grace Fong on 9/9. Pray for all the expectant mothers, Feng Liu, Lingzhi Han, Yinglan Liang, Xiaofan Li, Ni Li , Jenny Lew and Huay Ming Loh. May they entrust each child to God, the creator of life.

22. Pray that our merciful God comfort and help those who are sick and weak: Luella Hwang, Dena Chong, Cheong Wai Lok, Hushan Yang, Stella Law, Dennis Huang, Shirley Huang, the mother of Sandy Lu, son of Zhong Guo and Mrs. Ting Chung Liao. Pray that God sustain them by His grace and that His strength and courage not fail them.
