ADORATION

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. Psalm 29:2

Praise God for his glorious attributes of holiness and perfection.

Praise God for last weekend's ministries: the confirmation of the church council; a fruitful church council meeting and the decision to operate All Aboard Learning Center in 2006.

CONFESSION

He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Proverbs 28:13

Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and reveal any areas of unconfessed sin.

Acknowledge these to God and thank him for his mercy and forgiveness.

THANKSGIVING

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34

Thank the Lord for his goodness in our lives: family, friends, and daily provision.

Thank God for his unconditional and everlasting love for us.

SUPPLICATION

We do not make requests of you because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy. Daniel 9:18

Around the World

1.  Pakistan : Pray for the Christian mission, especially among the poor. Pray that the barrier of culture, religion and history be broken down and doors opened to the gospel. Pray especially for the victims of the earthquake. May the Lord comfort those who lost loved ones and may the relief effort be efficient. Pray that many Christian organizations would be used to lessen the pain and misery there.

2. Pray for Diane L. who will be traveling in East Asia . Pray for her safety, good health, strength and a clear mind to observe and encourage the leaders.

In Our Church

3. Praise God for the weekend ministries: Praise God for the sermon preached by Pastor Hsueh last Sunday. May we accept the challenge to meet the Xtreme demand of following Christ. Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to Pastor Hsueh and Pastor Tow as they prepare for the sermon this Sunday.

4. Praise God for the 2006 Church Council confirmation on 10/9. Praise God for the faithful service of the current council members. Pray the our sovereign Lord continue to guide and may He bless the newly elected members as they commit to serve at HCC.

5. Pray for Linh Phan who is a candidate for the Outreach Minister. Pray that God leads the way and reveal His will to Linh and HCC.

6. Pray for the many upcoming events at HCC: 10/22 Church clean-up; 10/28-30 Chinese Bible Conference; 10/28 Children's Fall Festival; 11/4 Chinese Evangelistic movie; 11/6 30 th anniversary combined Sunday service; 11/11 Youth/Parents Family night; 11/18 English concert of prayer; 12/9 Christmas celebration; 12/24 Christmas Eve Concert; 12/25 Christmas Day combined Sunday service. May God use these events to draw us closer to Him and one another. May God bless all the co-workers with wisdom and strength in their preparation. May God grant them unity, joy and fulfillment in their service.

7. Pray for the Father/Son retreat on 10/21-23. May many attend and take the opportunity to bond and grow closer to God.

8. Pray for Pastor Tow who is attending a conference in Ohio , Minister Mou and Linh Phan who are attending continuing education classes in St. Louis . May God grant safety in their travel, good health and that they would come back renewed.

9. Pray for the handbell choir. Pray that the members will grow in their conviction and commitment in using the instruments and their talents to glorify God.

10. Pray that God will provide the needed singers and musicians for the 30 th Anniversary and Christmas services.

11. Pray for the noon service choir picnic this Saturday. May God provide pleasant weather and a great time of fellowship.

Individuals

12. Pray for the physically weak: Luella Hwang, Dena Chong, Cheong Wai Lok, Hushan Yang, Stella Law, Dennis Huang, Shirley Huang and Mrs. Ting Chung. May the Lord our God comfort them and grant them peace.

13. Pray for Donghui Li, Yuqiao Gu, Shih-Hsin Kao, Mark Epps and others who are searching for employment. Pray for God's perfect provision.

14. Praise God for the birth of baby boy Arthur(7lb 2oz) to Xiaofan Li and Jianning Tao on 10/3; and baby girl Chloe (7lb 3oz) on 10/10 to Margaret and Chuan Le. Pray for good health for the newborns and good rest for the parents.

15.Pray for the expectant mothers: Feng Liu, Lingzhi Han, Yinglan Liang, Ni Li, Jenny Lew, and Huay Ming Loh. Pray for God's strength to sustain them and His joy to surround them.
