ADORATION

"Ascribe to the LORD, O mighty ones, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength." Psalm 29:1

Praise the Lord for who he is and ascribe to him the glory and strength due his name.

Praise the Lord for last week's ministries: (a) the sermons on stewardship delivered by Pastor Tow and Minister Mou. Pray that we understand the lessons of good stewardship of our earthly treasures and finances. May God help us to walk and live out our faith. May we honor our Lord with all that is His; (b) the combined prayer meeting and the many brothers and sisters who attended in spite of the football game.
CONFESSION

" We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:6

Confess to God the many times we have gone astray from him and turned to our own ways.

Thank the Lord for laying our sin upon Jesus, our substitute who restores our relationship with God the Father
THANKSGIVING

"I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High."

Psalm 7:17

Thank the Lord for his righteousness, justice, and holiness, for he can be no other than the Most High God.

SUPPLICATION

"What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the LORD our God is near us whenever we pray to him?" Deuteronomy 4:7

Around the World

          1.Praise God for the new level of confidence, dynamism, vision and maturity of the Church in many parts of Africa . Pray for  

             innovative and effective cross-cultural training for missions.

2. Pray for Iraq . May God intervene so the war would soon end and peace be upon the people. May God comfort the   

    families of servicemen and women who have lost their lives.

3 Pray that the avian flu will be under control. Pray for the protection of our missionaries Jerry and Kit Ling Swenson.   

4 Pray for the Supreme Court Justice nomination. May God provide someone who is just and righteous in this important 

   position.

5 Pray for Edna Kwan who has returned to Banda Aceh , Indonesia a year after the Tsunami to help train English-speaking 

   Indonesians to do trauma counseling and to help develop a counseling center in a local community center and hospital.

In Our Church and other ministries

6. Pray for the pulpit ministry this week. Pastor Tow and Minister Mou will be preaching on the stewardship of our spiritual 

    gifts. May the Spirit inspire them to speak to God's people.

7. Pray for the church council meeting this Saturday. Pray for the installation of the 2006 council: Pen Feng, Gary Ge, Jarvis 

    Chan, Windsor Lee, Cherng Ching Huang, Eddie Yip, Andy Au, Shih Hsin Kao, Dennis Tow, Jonathan Liu, Tim Leong, 

    Karen Ho, Sho Wei Lo, John Joe and Cindy Yeng. May God bless them and use them mightily.

8. Pray that many brothers and sisters will respond to the need in the handbell and choir ministry. May God raise up 

    committed and passionate co-workers in the music ministry.

9. Pray for the Chinese New Year preparation. May God grant wisdom to co-workers as they plan for the celebrations on 

   1/27 and 1/28. May many be able to come as we share God's love and joy on this special occasion.

9. Pray for the New Heart Music Ministries co-workers, Yenn, Ephraim, Czarina and Daniel as they minister in Taiwan . 

    Praise God for the many fruits yielded and seeds sowed.

         10.Pray for Pastor Hsueh and Cynthia as they travel and rest after the mission trip in Germany .

         11. Pray for Brother Peng Ge. He is traveling to China and will be married on 1/21. May God bless him and his fiancée as they 

               prepare to enter the marriage covenant.

         12. Pray for Qiang He and Rose Wong and the preparation of their wedding on 1/14. May God bless them and guide them. Pray for 

               travel mercy as they will be traveling to China after the wedding.

         13. Pray for Sister Shu Lou. She is traveling to China to bring her family and relocate to Austin . May God bless her transition and 

               travel. May she continue to grow in her faith and share the good news with her family.

         14. Pray for Sister Mou Qi Chen. She will be returning to China and may relocate to Canada later on this month. May God guide her 

               footsteps and watch over her.

         15. Pray that the physically weak and/or ill are able to experience God's love, mercy and peace : James Chen, Luella Hwang, Dena

              Chong, Hushan Yang, Stella Law, Dennis Huang, Shirley Huang, Mrs. Ting Chung Liao, Grace Chen, Linda Kilbourne, Conita 

               Tse, Doris Tam, Kit Ling Swenson, Mrs. Chen L. Wu, and Sai Kong. Continue to remember Cheong Wai Lok who is adjusting 

               well in China and the many seniors who are in nursing homes. Pray that God grant them special grace and peace.

         16. Pray for those who are seeking employment: Shih-Hsin Kao and others. Pray that God provides opportunities in His own time.

         17. Pray for the expectant mothers: Cecilia Cheung, Lingzhi Han and Yinglan Liang from Cambridge fellowship, Jane Huang, Ariel  

               Huang, Ni Li, Jenny Lew, and Huay Ming Loh. Pray for their good heath and good spirit.
