ADORATION

He is your praise. He is your God, who has done for you these great and terrifying things that your eyes have seen. Deuteronomy 10:21

Praise God , the creator of all things great and small, for He is worthy of our praise.

Thank God for speaking through Pastor Lew and Brother Chang last Sunday. We also thank God for bringing Lisa and Dale Craven to share in the English service.

CONFESSION

if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Let us humble ourselves before our God and seek His forgiveness of our sins and transgressions.

THANKSGIVING

And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name. I Chronicles 29:13

Praise God and thank Him because everything great or small comes from Him.

I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words. Psalm 17:6

Around the World

1. Kingdom of Lesotho : An isolated mountainous country that is completely surrounded by South Africa . The people of Lesotho have been largely Christian with Catholics having a large influence. The French evangelical missionaries have done pioneer work and are bearing fruit. Pray for Bible teaching and raising up of local leaders and harmony between the different denominations.

2. May there be peace in Israel and Lebanon . Pray for the leaders of the world. May God use them to stop the fighting and bring peace to the region.

3.   Pray for the states affected by the heat wave. May the lives of those who lost power will soon return to normal. May the wild fire in the western states be brought under control. May God protect the firefighter and may He send rain to relieve the problem.

Our Church and Other Ministries

4. Pastor Lew and Pastor Mou will speak this Sunday. Pray that God will strengthen them as they prepare to deliver the sermons.

5. May we prepare our hearts for the Lord's Supper this Sunday and to renew our commitment to our Lord.

6. The Youth choir registration for the new choir year will begin on 8/13. Pray that many will join in to rehearse so they would be able to accomplish their goals of choir festival, Christmas, May God strengthen the director, Ping Lin and their pianist, Kenneth Li.

7. Pastor Tow and his family are traveling and attending the celebration of the 80 th birthday of Pastor Fred's father and the 60 th Anniversary of his parents. May the family gathering be a joyful and blessed time.

8. Four Mandarin speaking fellowships ( Cambridge , Aihua, Living Spring and Canaan ) will hold a joint retreat at Trinity Pine on Labor Day weekend. Pray for the Lord's guidance for the speaker and co-workers. May God Mandarin Young Professional Fellowship is celebrating their 30 th Anniversary in a retreat.

9. The Christmas pageant is planned for 12/8. May God provide the singers, actors and other co-workers in many other areas.

10. The church-wide picnic will be held on Saturday, 9/30. Pray for preparation of all the logistics and. Pray that many will join to attend and to serve.

11. Many are serving or planning to serve in the field this summer. May God watches over them, provide for their needs. May God use them to bless those whom they come into contact with.

12. Pray for Dr. Richard Lin and the different choirs who are practicing for their presentation for the Choir Festival on 9/23. May many will participate and explore how they can use their gift in music to serve God.

13. Henry Jin will be finishing up his urban mission trip this week. Pray for the kids that Henry is ministering to and that God speaks to him in his spiritual walk.

14. Pray for the maintenance and operation of the facility where we gather to worship each week.

15. At home and/or under doctor's care : Yi-Fang Peng, Shirley Huang (dialysis), Dennis Huang, James Chen (at M.D. Anderson), Ting Liang, Ting Chung Liao, Grace Chen, Xuedong Dai (back problem), David Qin, Jing Li, Richard Bao ( Stoney Brook Health Center after a stroke), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Huifeng Liu, Helen, Ngan Wai (Amy Tong's mother), Erlinda Aquino (Jennifer Aquino's mother), Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Julia Xu Lin, Cynthia Chan's father (Prostate cancer), and JoAnna Quan's father ( ICU Methodist Hospital ).

16. Pray for the brothers and sisters who are looking for employment opportunities. May God direct their path and open doors: Shih-Hsin Kao, Weilie Pang, Fang Fang and Meng Jiang.

17. May God continue to watch over the expectant mothers: Yen Yen Kong, Vivian Liu, Hong Zhang, Yujing Li, Yaxia Zou, Stephanie Chiang , Esther Szeto, Yingqing Guo, Emay Yeng, and Alice Ho. Remember the new parents and pray that they fully enjoy God's gift of their little ones.
