ADORATION

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! ( Psalm 95:6)

Praise the Lord because He is the most High. Let us humble ourselves before Him to praise and worship Him.

CONFESSION

Yet he, being compassionate, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them; he restrained his anger often

and did not stir up all his wrath. (Psalm 78:38)

Praise God for He is the merciful and compassionate God who accepts our confession of our sins.

THANKSGIVING

Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples. (Psalm 106:1)

May we give thanks constantly to our Lord as we thank him for the many blessings in our lives.

SUPPLICATION

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.(1 Samuel 12:23)

Around the World

1.Syrian Arab Republic : has been a secular state with Islam recognized as the religion of the majority since 1973. Christian minorities are tolerated as long as they do not cause governmental or communal disharmony. Therefore, the evangelicals are hesitant to jeopardize this by witnessing too forthrightly. Pray for open doors of opportunities, wisdom in using other means of media to spread the good news and more full time workers and leaders.

2. Pray for Seminary student Geoff Chang . May God bless his studies and internship and may God direct his path for his future ministry.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Thank God for Pastor Hsueh's sermon last week. May God help us to live harmoniously. Pray for Pastor Lew as he speaks this week.

4.   Pray for the Chinese Bible conference this week. May God bless Pastor Lee with safe and smooth travel. May God speak through him and that many will come and experience spiritual renewal.

5. Pray for the Father/Daughter Retreat this weekend. May God bless the retreat with suitable weather and safe travel. May God impart insight to Donald Lee and Cynthia Hsueh as they lead group discussions and sharing. Pray for preparation of the BASIC retreat next weekend, good participation and fellowship.

6. Praise God for the confirmation of Alex Tsui as deacon for the Children's ministry. Pray that he be a strong and mighty instrument in this ministry.

7. Pray for budget preparations in the various departments. May God reveal His direction to our leadership while planning for 2007. May they be blessed with insight, creativity and clear vision.

8. Pray for the Christmas preparation: the choirs, drama, handbell, orchestra and publicity.   

9. Pray for the Thanksgiving Service preparation. May God provide and call on many to willingly share their testimony of thanksgiving. Pray for the parents' participating in the children's benediction ceremony as testimony to raise their children in our Lord's house.

10. Pray for the PTA meetings of the Children's Ministry on 11/5. May this be a fruitful and educational meeting for parents to help our children grow up healthily; that both parents and church leaders work harmoniously.

11. October is Clergy Appreciation Month. Continue to pray for our pastoral staff in their personal growth and family time while devoting their time to shepherd God's people. Pray that God will use them mightily in all they do. Also thank God for their supportive, sacrificial families.

12.   The Community Service Department meets this Sunday to explore ways to serve the community. Pray for discernment and vision to share God's love to the community.

Individuals

13 Ephraim Cheng's father-in-law passed away in Hong Kong last week. Pray for Amy and the family in their funeral arrangements and for God's felt presence. James Chan passed away last week. May God comfort his family and the memorial service in Florida to be a witness of his life and blessing to others.

14   Pray for Pastor Tow working on his dissertation --- for good concentration and insight.

15. Pray for healing of Jian Huang's mother who is receiving treatment for a malignant tumor in China . We thank God for answering many prayers for the physically weak, recovering a t home and/or under doctor's care: Paul Charles Teng (father of Elaine Chan , discharged),Cherng-Ching Huang's father (improving), Mrs. Kwei Lee (Pastor Ling's mother in law),Wen Hua Xu (Ingrid Song's father back to China), Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Ting Liang, , Xuedong Dai (back problem) and his mother (anemic), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Ngan Wai (Amy Tong's mother), Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Julia Xu Liu (under treatment), Cynthia Chan's father (Prostate cancer), and Paul Quan (JoAnna Quan's father), Jing Li, Paul Epps's mother recovering after surgery, Ed Fong's grandfather and Chi-Nor Fan (Francis Ng's mother in Hong Kong),

16. Continue to pray for job opportunities for Weilie Pang and Fang Fang --- for God's encouragement and strength.

17. Praise God for baby Andrew born to Jin Zhao and Yingqing Guo. Continue to pray for good health of the expectant mothers: Yen Yen Kong, Stephanie Chiang , Esther Szeto, Connie Chau, Shelly Lau, Ingrid Song and Emay Yeng.

18. Pray for Ning Ma Ge who is traveling to China . Pray for Philip Chii and Jennifer Lee's wedding this Saturday 10/28 in Arlington . May God bless them and grant safety to all those traveling to Arlington .
