Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! Then all the people said, “Amen!” and praised the Lord. I Chronicles 16:36

Praise the Lord always because He is our Lord from everlasting to everlasting.

CONFESSION

Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Psalm 32:1

We are indeed blessed because our transgression is forgiven and our sin is covered by our merciful God.

THANKSGIVING

Open to me the gates of righteousness that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord. Psalm 118:19

May we give thanks to our Lord for He has forgiven us through His righteousness even though we.

SUPPLICATION

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. Jeremiah 29:12

Around the World

1. Kingdom of Thailand : After four centuries of Catholic and 175 years of protestant work, Thai Christians are only 1.6 % of the population. Pray that the Chinese Christians become a significant force for evangelization and that many more would become full-time workers.

2. Pray that the California wildfire be control and extinguished. May God comfort the families of the firefighters who have lost loved ones. Pray for the families who lost loved ones in the Nigerian plane crash last week. May they turn to God in time of their grieve.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Praise God for last week's ministry: (a) the many brothers and sisters who were able to attend the Bible Conference with Rev. Lee. We are thankful for the sermon delivered by Pastor Hsueh and Rev. Lee in the worship services; (b) the 41 people who attended the father/daughter Retreat. We are thankful for the great weather, wonderful sharing and opportunity to build deeper bonding.

4.   Prepare our heart for the Lord's Supper this week. Remember Pastor Tow and Dr. Chow as they prepare for the sermon for this week.

5.   Pray for the Cantonese fellowship ministry. May God show us ways to grow and care for each other. May God provide the co-workers for the Young Professional Fellowship.

6. Pray for the preparation of departmental budgeting. May God reveal His will to us and to help us to serve Him with wisdom and courage.

7. Pray for Christmas pageant preparation. Pray that the all the singers and actors will be able to learn their music and lines well. May God bless the first dress rehearsal on 11/12. May the publicity be effective and be able to reach many.

8. Pray for the November 7 election. May God help us to have the wisdom to vote for the right candidates who honor God, practice justice and be merciful.   

9. Pray for the Thanksgiving Service preparation and those who are preparing to share their testimonies of thanksgiving. May we have a thankful heart to bless the Lord.

10. Pray for the parents who will be participating in the children's benediction ceremony as testimony to raise their children in our Lord's house.

11. Pray for the PTA meetings of the Children's Ministry on 11/5. May this be a fruitful and educational meeting for parents to help our children grow up healthily; that both parents and church leaders work harmoniously.

12. Praise God for the many who attended the organization meeting for the Community Service Department this Sunday. Pray for God's continued guidance in this ministry.

13. Pray for the pastoral staffs who are not feeling well: Cindy Hong who may have the flu and Pastor Lew who hurt his back. Pray that they would take time to rest and recuperate.

Individuals

14. Pray for healing of the mothers who are ill back home. Lingwen Li is going to Taiwan to see her mother and Jian Huang are going to China to visit his mother. Pray that God be with both of them as they travel and strengthen their faith during this difficult time.

15. We thank God for answering many prayers for the physically weak, recovering a t home and/or under doctor's care: Jian Huang's mother, Lingwen Li's mother, Paul Charles Teng (father of Elaine Chan), Cherng-Ching Huang's father (improving), Mrs. Kwei Lee (Pastor Ling's mother in law), Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Ting Liang, , Xuedong Dai (back problem) and his mother (anemic), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Ngan Wai (Amy Tong's mother), Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Julia Xu Liu (under treatment), Cynthia Chan's father (Prostate cancer), and Paul Quan (JoAnna Quan's father), Jing Li, Paul Epps's mother (readmitted), Ed Fong's grandfather and Chi-Nor Fan (Francis Ng's mother in Hong Kong),

16. Thanks be to God for Fang Fang has a job offer. Continue to pray for Weilie Pang for employment opportunities.

17. Praise God for Ian Stephen Chiang born to Andrew and Stephanie Chiang on 10/27 and for Nicolas Liang-Yin Chen born to Josh and Alyona Chen on 10/26. Continue to pray for good health of the expectant mothers: Yen Yen Kong, Esther Szeto, Connie Chau, Shelly Lau, Ingrid Song and Emay Yeng.
