Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to search our heart and reveal to us not only any sin that we have committed and also anything we should do but have omitted to do.

THANKSGIVING

I will thank you in the great congregation; in the mighty throng I will praise you. Psalm 35:18

Thank God for the worship service on Christmas Eve with the choir, orchestra, and the gathering of worshipers. We are also thankful for the smooth operation in the visual and audio department.

SUPPLICATION

I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words. Psalm 17:6

Around the World

1. Pakistan : is an Islamic republic with a government where the Shari'a law has been increasingly applied even to Christians. Although Christian missionaries have been working in the land since 1833 but few Muslims would dare to openly admit to be Christians because of threats and persecution. But among the humble untouchables of the Hindu's and other minorities, the gospel has reached many. Pray that the barriers of culture and religion would be broken down and many can safely.

2. Remember our many missionaries in the field. May God's love surround them during the holiday season. May His presence sustain them and strengthen them.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Praise God for His provision and protection throughout the year. Praise God for the many new believers who have accepted Christ this year. Pray for their continue growth in Christ.

4.   Pastor Tao Mou and brother Tarn will be speaking this week. Pray that they will be inspired and be focus in their preparation to deliver the message to God's people.

5.   Pray for the training for the noon service ushers on 1/7. May God use this meeting to strengthen our understanding and appreciation of this ministry so that we can make every one who comes to our church feel welcome.

6.   Safety and enjoyment for the many travelers during the holiday season. Pray for relaxed and fellowship time for those who have visiting family and friends.

7. Pray for the preparation of the Spiritual Journal for 2007. Pray for the logistics and compilation and coordination of the booklet. May we use this tool to help us grow stronger in the Lord.

8. Pray for the co-workers in the Treasury Department who have added workload at the year end.

9. Rev. Mark will be speaking in the inaugural meeting of the Midweek Fellowship on Wednesday, January 31. Pray for the preparation of the Family Life ministry in their new ministries for 2007. Also pray that God heals the discomfort of Rev. Mack's eye.

10. Many of HCC college students are attending the annual Urbana Conference this week in St. Louis . May they gain strength and insight in the conference as they worship together and learn how they can serve God and His Kingdom.

11. Pastor Mou is attending a conference for Chinese seekers in Chicago . May the Lord use this conference to inspire and renew those who have a heart in evangelism in China . May they gain new knowledge and encouragement.

12. We will hold our quarterly church-wide prayer meeting on January 3. Pray that many will be able to attend and attend this prayer meeting.

Individuals

13. Emmanuel Chen (Mandarin Student Fellowship), our pianist for the choir and worship services, went to be with the Lord suddenly on December 26 in Toronto . May God comfort his family in their time of grieve.

14 May God watch over the health of Kitty and Kalvin Chum's son, Geoffrey. May God continue to be with those who are physically weak, and recovering: Mr. Chan, Avis' father, Ting-Chung Liao, Lingwen LI's mother, Jian Huang's mother, Xin ShuQin Geng (stomach), Cherng Ching Huang's father, Pastor Ling's mother-in-law, Josephine Chang's mother , Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Xuedong Dai and his mother, Cynthia Chan's father, JoAnna Quan's father, Mark Epp's mother, Ed Fong's grandfather and Francis Ng's mother, Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Ting Liang, , Xuedong Dai (back problem), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Julia Xu Liu (under treatment) and Jing Li.

15. Continue to pray for Weilie Pang that God will strengthen her as she patiently awaits opportunities.

16. Continue to pray for the expectant mothers: Esther Szeto, Connie Chau, Tina Leung, Ingrid Song, Bonnie Ni and Haoling Wang (Diao).

17. David and Alice Ho will be returning to the mission field in January. Pray that their son, Joshua will be fully recovered from recent illness and that the family will pass the health examination for their scheduled departure.
