ADORATION

Sing to him; sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! I Chronicle 16:9

Praise God because He is our King who is worthy of our praise and adoration. Let us praise him in all our days.

CONFESSION

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the

riches of his grace. Ephesians 1:7

Confess to our Lord that we do not give thanks to our Lord for the salvation He has given us. Ask for His forgiveness for not remembering what it cost Jesus to save us.

Thanksgiving

I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify him with thanksgiving. Psalm 69:30

Thank God that He is the strength of our life and that we need not be afraid. We also want to thank our Lord for bearing our burdens and that they are no longer ours to carry.

Around the World

1. Argentina : although the country is blessed with abundant natural resources, there is still much poverty. Roman Catholicism has state support but basic freedom of religion and evangelism exist. Spiritual hunger has led to rapid growth of believers, and followers of other cults. Pray for the protection and continued spiritual health of churches, unity of believers, appropriate leadership and vision for the future.

2. Severe winter weather is causing hazardous driving conditions. Thank God for His protection and provision in the past few days.

3. Pray that the bird flu, beginning to spread in Vietnam and Thailand , will be brought under control soon. Also pray for the war situation in Iraq . May God grant wisdom and unity to our country and its leadership. Remember the families who have lost loved ones and pray for God's comfort.

Our Church and Other Ministries

4. Praise God for the worship services last week. May we experience the truth of the resurrection of our Lord and live our lives accordingly.

5.   Pray for the coming children's concert on Sunday. May God bless Junko Cheng and use her mightily as she ministers to our kids.

6.   Pray for Pastor Tow and Pastor Mou as they prepare to preach this Sunday. May God grant them wisdom and insight.

7.   Praise God that many attended the memorial service for Emmanuel Chen last week. May God continue to comfort his family and all his friends.

8. Pray for the evangelistic meeting on Friday, Jan 26 with Zhiming Yuan. Pray that many will be drawn to Christ.

9. Pray for the college students who have returned to their various campuses. May God watch over them in their studies and spiritual life in the new semester.

10. Pray that God will raise up new pianists for the Noon service and the noon service choir.

11. Pray for the Family Life Ministry. May God use the Wednesday program to encourage the sisters and retirees to come and grow in Christ together. Pray that God will guide Rev. and Mrs. Maak as they prepare for the message to the first meeting on 1/31.

Individuals

12. Thank God that Pastor Tow is nearing completion of the first draft of his dissertation. May God grant him extra strength and patience.

13. Praise God that Francis Ng's mother accepted Christ as her personal Savior and Lord in the hospital. May God watch over her failing health and that her non-Christian family members, especially her husband, will be open to the Gospel.

14. Pray for Liang Sun who has returned to China after he learned of his grandmother's passing. May God comfort him and his family.

15. Pray for Siu-Fong Ng, the mother of Klairon Tang, diagnosed with lung tumor. Pray for physical and spiritual healing. Pray for brothers and sisters receiving treatment, undergone surgeries and those who awaiting treatment. Pray that God continue to be with those physically weak and recovering: Avis Chan's father, Ting-Chung Liao, Lingwen LI's mother, Jian Huang's mother, Xin ShuQin Geng (stomach), Cherng Ching Huang's father, Pastor Ling's mother-in-law, Josephine Chang's mother , Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Xuedong Dai and his mother, Cynthia Chan's father, JoAnna Quan's father, Ed Fong's grandfather and Francis Ng's mother, Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Ting Liang, , Xuedong Dai (back problem), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Julia Xu Liu (under treatment) Xin ShuQin, Eddie Tong and Jing Li.

16. Continue to pray for Weilie Pang still waiting for job opportunities. May God open doors and provide for her needs.

17. Praise God for baby Emma Elektra born to Alex and Esther Szeto on 1/17. Baby and mother are doing well. Praise God for the birth of Madelyn Leung born to Tina Leung and her husband ( grandparents Thomas and Irene Kwan) on 1/17. May God continue to protect and provide for the expectant mothers: Connie Chau, Ingrid Song, Bonnie Ni, Haoling Wang (Diao) and Linzhi Han.
