ADORATION

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

2 Corinthian 1:3

God father, we praise you. Thank you for loving us just as we are. Let us rediscover and experience anew His grace and comfort He cloth us always.

CONFESSION

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting! Psalm 139:23-24.

Let us open our lives to the Father so that He can cleanse us and let Him bring to light anything that is keeping us from experiencing all His abundance love and grace.

THANKSGIVING

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! Psalm 95:2

Thank you, Lord for the gift of life and love. Let us praise him with songs and prayers with joy and thanksgiving.

SUPPLICATION

Let my plea come before you; deliver me according to your word. Psalm 119:170

Around the World

1. Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan: Obtained independence from Britain in 1946. Due to the political and military turmoil, more than half of its present population is refugees from Palestine , Iraq and Kuwait and surrounding areas. Pray for peace in this region. The government resists pressure for greater Islamization. Pray for the preservation of religious freedom. This nation is a centre for many Christian activities and ministries although the Christian communities have suffered decreasing numbers. Evangelical churches are experiencing encouraging growth but only 20% of churches have a full-time pastor. Pray for an increase and training of Arab leaders.

2. Pray for the Gospel ministries in China . Pray for the increasing control and persecution by the government. Missionaries and Christians have been detained or deported. May God protect His children and grant them wisdom in doing His work.

Our Church and Other Ministries

3. Give thanks for His faithfulness in last week's ministries: (a) message by Pastor Hsueh and Pastor Tow (b) the Graded Children's choir mini-concert; and (c) Children's Benediction and (d) the sharing of China Bible Ministry with CCI co-worker.

4. Pray for this week's services: (a) Pastor Luh will preach in both services; (b) singing by the youth choir in both services and (c) for Caleb choir which will sing in the noon service. Pray for God's guidance in everything we do for Him.

5. Pray for the preparation and coordination of the Uganda Children's Choir on 6/22. May God help us to be good host to them. May the Lord speak to us through them.

6. Pray for students preparing for final examinations. May they learn discipline, time management and diligence in their studies.

7. Pray for the visit of the pastoral candidate, Yuhshih Luh for the Chinese ministry. May God reveal His will to us.

8. Pray that many will attend the teachers' training conducted by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) on 5/19 (Sat). May many come to learn how to share God's love with our children and be ready to give the regular teachers a respite for the summer.

9. Pray for those graduating to place their trust in the Lord and to experience God's faithfulness regarding their future.

10. Pray for the Cantonese Revival meeting on 6/15 with Dr. Y. C. Kwong. May God bless and use him to draw us closer to Him. May God provide a worship team to lead the music for the meeting.

11. Pray for the Wednesday Rainbow Fellowship and Sisters' Fellowship. May God use each gathering to strengthen Christians and for outreach.

Individuals

12. Pray for (Julia) Jing Xu who is hospitalized after a major operation to treat her cancer. May God have mercy on her and grant her joy and strength. Pray that God be with her husband and daughter. Pray for James and Diana Wang. James' mother is at MD Anderson; pray for the physically weak, those undergoing medical treatments or those still recovering : Xhi Qiang Lu (Ellen Chen's mother-in-law), Alice Chen (chemotherapy), Chin-Chang (Judy) Huang (chemotherapy), You May Lan (Kim Wong 's mother), Lingwen Li's mother, Josephine Chan's mother, Ding Qin Shen's father-in-law, Xuedong Dai and his mother, Cynthia Chan's father, JoAnna Quan's father (improving), Ed Fong's grandfather, Aimee Yuan (eye treatment), Shirley Huang (dialysis), Ting Liang, Xuedong Dai (back problem), Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Eddie Tong, Ming-Jer Tsai (Sophia's husband), Jing Li, Zili Geng, Xin ShuQin( chemotherapy) and Lili Chu's father. Pray for Susanna Lau as she recovers from an ear infection.

13. Continue to pray for Weilie Pang and those seeking employment or interviewing for new employment.

14. Praise God for a baby girl Emma born to Ching Ting Liao. Although she was premature, thank God that both mother and daughter are healthy. Continue to pray for expectant mothers: Marta Tseng, Haoling Wang (Diao), Rose He, Sabrina Hsueh, Selina Lai, Ellen Wong , Rita Wei Chang, Limin Luo, Linong Xiu, Sylvia Yung, Yan Yang Xiao He, Li Liu Cao, and Hang Min Yin Yang.
