ADORATION

Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord, your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones! For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings is like the Lord, Psalm 89:5,6

All praise and honor belong to our Lord, for the magnificent work of His hands. Praise God, Father of all creation, for He is all knowing and all powerful.

CONFESSION

Yet he, being compassionate, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them; he restrained his anger often and did not stir up all his wrath. Psalm 78:38

We thank God for His compassion and love even when we are not always as we know we should be. Pray for forgiveness and acceptance and erase from my vocabulary all negative words and from my mind all negative thoughts.

THANKSGIVING

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 107:1

Thank the Lord for His greatness and love that is the source of life.

SUPPICATION

But as for me, my prayer is to you, O Lord. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness. Psalm 69:13

Around the World

1. Republic of Albania : A mountainous Balkan state adjoining Yugoslavia , Macedonia and Greece . In the 1960's, the Marxist government claimed to have eliminated all religion but now 74% of the population claim a faith in God. Culturally Albania is Muslim and a major target for Muslim countries to send missionaries. Therefore, it has became the most evangelized nation in Europe by both Christians and Muslims. Amazingly, there are evangelical Christians in every town and city. Pray for leadership training, stronger outreach to minorities, distribution of Scripture and other effective methods of witness.

2.  Pray for the victims of the recent cyclone in Bangladesh . May the survivors be helped quickly.

O ur Church and Other Ministries

3. Thank God for last week's ministries: (a) the council meeting in finalizing the 2008 budget; (b) the Thanksgiving and Mission testimonies in the worship services; (c) the Children's benediction and (d) the message delivered and music presented in the service.

4.   Thank God for all the spiritual and material blessings He has given to us. Thank God for the many people He has brought into our lives.

5.   Pray for Pastor Hsueh as he prepares to preach, Shih-Hsin Kao and Pastor Ling as they prepare to lead the music. May God inspire them to share His message through music so the congregation will know God more deeply, love him more dearly and follow Him more closely.

6. Pray for the many brothers and sisters preparing to share music in the December services. May God protect them from Satan's attack in order to offer their best praises to Him.

7. Pray for the Christmas pageant preparation: (a) may we invite many to share the joy of God's miraculous work; (b) finalize the timely printing of Christmas program; (c) and may God fill each co-worker with joy as he/she serves the Lord.

8.   Pray for the celebration of New Life on 12/16. May we gather to celebrate the births of physical and spiritual babies so richly endowed in HCC.

9.   Pray for the Chinese Mission Convention on Dec 26-30. May the Holy Spirit move in the hearts of those who have the burden and need to go forth in mission to China .

10.   Pray for those traveling near and far –-- for safety while being God's ambassadors wherever they go.

11.   Pray for the brothers and sisters unable to attend worship or fellowship due to work obligations on Sundays. May God open doors for them to attend and guard their faith and personal walk in Christ.

Individuals

12. Pray for our young friend from Hawaii , Jana Wang, as she continues her cancer treatment. May God lessen any side effect of the new drug as well as for effective treatment. May the Lord strengthen Jana and her mother Jane's faith as they recently accepted Christ into their hearts. May God show us ways to minister to the family. Pray for Jijun Li who is receiving treatment. May God lessen her pain and help her to experience His presence in her suffering, find comfort and love through the caring brothers and sisters. Pray for the comfort and peace of those who are ill, receiving treatments and the physically weak: Xin Shu Qin, mother of Emmanuel and Samuel Lin, Lesley Chong's father, Julia Jing Xu, James Wang's mother, Alice Chen, Lingwen Li's mother, Yong Wu's mother, Josephine Chan's mother, Cynthia Chan's father, Ed Fong's grandfather, Shirley Huang, Liang Zhang, Hushan Yang, Lee Ying Wang, Jing Li and Zili Geng.

13. Pray for Windsor and Yvonne as they visit Windsor 's parents in California . May the Holy Spirit add strength and encouragement as their desire to share the gospel with the parents will be openly received and that the planted seeds will bear fruit.

14.   Pray for patience and perseverance for those seeking new employment opportunities, especially Weilie Pang and Jianping Zhao.

15. Praise God for answered prayers that baby James Ma went home before Thanksgiving. May God watch over the expectant mothers: Linong Xiu, Selina Lei, and Susana Lau.
