I taught a class on ˇ§Living
a missional lifeˇ¨ a few weeks ago. As I prepared the lesson, I meditated
on Genesis 12:1-3. During the same time, I was finalizing my decision
on my next step in life ˇV going to California to explore different opportunities.
It's an exciting and nervous stage to be .I am not exactly sure how everything
is going to be like, but I believe God is leading the steps of my life.
In
the meantime, I finished my lesson plan and taught the class. I thoroughly
enjoyed the lesson and the class. The students were involved and encouraging.
They participated as we analyzed and interpreted Genesis 12:1-3.
ˇ§The
LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your
father's household and go to the land I will show you.
"I
will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
I
will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you."
God
gave Abram two action verbs here ˇ§leaveˇ¨ and ˇ§goˇ¨. And the rest is
God's work. It's about His blessing and His promise. It's about what God
is going to do when Abram puts his faith in God. And I realize my little
faith. He leads me, and He is with me. I just need to trust Him and rest
is His work. God is faithful and His promise never fails.
