THE ACTIVITIES

Awana Clubs

Awana is a mid-week activity at HCC that blends Bible teaching, Scripture memorization, and tons of fun to impact the lives of boys and girls for Jesus Christ. Awana stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and is open to kids ages 4 through 5th grade.

Sunday School

Sunday school focuses on worship and teaching. Our worship leaders lead kids in worshiping a big God and our many teachers teach them about His truths. We have age-appropriate Sunday School classes from toddlers through 5th grade. Beginning in pre-school, kids gather in large groups for combined worship and offering then separate into classes based on their age and/or grade level in school. Through small classes, teachers are able to connect with the kids and establish a year-long relationship with them.

Church Time

Church Time takes place Sunday mornings, with classes for all ages. Crafts, games, and music are incorporated into the lesson for children.

Nursery Ministries

The Nursery Ministries exist to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment for parents and children from birth to 3 years old. To accomplish this, our nursery workers walk, rock, read, feed, and play with the children to insure that they are content. For our toddlers, we provide a Bible lesson, snack, and simple craft they can successfully do.

The nursery has implemented a beeper system that allows us to contact parents if their child needs them.

Children's Choirs

With the Worship Ministry at HCC, we have a place for your kids to have the opportunity to learn about God through music while learning about the fundamentals of choral music. Three different children choirs are offered, based on age and skill:

• Kinder Choir (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
• Children's Choir (1-2 grades)
• Junior Choir (3-5 grades)

Baby Benediction

Children are a blessing from the Lord. Our baby benediction ceremony is an opportunity for parents to deicate their babies and infants to God before the congregation at HCC during worship services at various times throughout the year. Benedition classes are held in both English and Chinese for interested parents.
